Make your own Christmas ornaments
click image to enlargeThese naive felt ornaments add a touch of Scandinavian style to a Christmas tree.
What you will need
- Scissors;
- Iron;
- Red and white felt;
- Iron-on webbing;
- Silver thread;
- White embroidery thread;
- Silver and red ribbon or cord for loops
- Download the reindeer and snowflake templates.
- Place the webbing between two pieces of felt. Set your iron to a low heat, place
a tea towel over the felt, then press until the webbing bonds the two layers together. - Trace the reindeer template onto the red felt and the snowflake onto the white felt; cut out the shapes.
- Hand stitch around the edge of the reindeer using white thread and the edge of the snowflake using silver thread.
- Cut short lengths of ribbon or cord, fold in half to make a loop and stitch the tail end to the back of each ornament.
