Make your own Christmas ornaments

Make your own Christmas ornaments accompanying image

These naive felt ornaments add a touch of Scandinavian style to a Christmas tree.

What you will need

  • Scissors;
  • Iron;
  • Red and white felt;
  • Iron-on webbing;
  • Silver thread;
  • White embroidery thread;
  • Silver and red ribbon or cord for loops
  1. Download the reindeer and snowflake templates.
  2. Place the webbing between two pieces of felt. Set your iron to a low heat, place
    a tea towel over the felt, then press until the webbing bonds the two layers together.
  3. Trace the reindeer template onto the red felt and the snowflake onto the white felt; cut out the shapes.
  4. Hand stitch around the edge of the reindeer using white thread and the edge of the snowflake using silver thread.
  5. Cut short lengths of ribbon or cord, fold in half to make a loop and stitch the tail end to the back of each ornament.
