Touched by Olivia, Family Fun Fair, Sydney NSW: November 16th.

Family Fun Fair is expected to be a huge event for the entire family with a free Dorothy the Dinosaur show and Jay Laga’Aia. Set in the spacious surrounds of Brett Park, the Family Fun Fair has plenty of room to push a stroller or sit and have a picnic in the park. Established by Justine and John Perkins in November 2006 following the tragic loss of their 8 month old baby, Olivia, Touched by Olivia Foundation aims to help other families by giving children the opportunity to live healthier, happier lives.

Field of Angels Appeal, Nationally: October 2008

To support Pregnancy and Infancy Loss awareness month, The Teddy Love Club pregnancy & Infant loss support group displayed a field of 350 teddy bears at Brougham Gardens, North Adelaide on Oct 1st, 2008.
The bears represent the number of bears TLC donates to bereaved families across SA every year. One in four of the bears will have angel wings, symbolizing the 1 in 4 pregnancies that end in a loss.

Red Cross Murray River Canoe Marathon, Yarrawonga VIC: December 26th to 31st.

The Red Cross Murray Marathon, one of world’s longest annual canoe races, covers a distance of 404km in five days, taking paddlers from Yarrawonga through to Swan Hill in Victoria. Wholly owned and organised by Red Cross, funds raised during the Marathon are channelled back into the provision of vital community programs and emergency services. This year we celebrate the 40th and final Red Cross Murray Marathon.
