1. Each season Dior releases a much sought-after jewelled product. This time it’s Golden Dior, $100, a gorgeous limited-edition amber-jewelled pendant you can wear around your neck or tie on your handbag. Inside is a luminising cream you can wear on lips, cheekbones or eyes.

2. Dior Bronze Lumières d’O, $85, combines two sunny bronzing powders - one with shimmering gold - and an amber gloss for lips.

3. Expensive, yes, but you’ll love Chanel’s Lumières Facettes in Oasis, $95,  a collection of four shimmery eyeshadows. Also check out Ombre Essentielle in Tigre, $42, a sparkling eyeshadow in a rich orangey gold.

4. Inexpensive and containing everything you need for a summery look, the Australis Rush Hour Palette, $12.95, contains three lip glosses, four gorgeous eyeshadows (pictured) and a peachy blush.

5. Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess collection includes some little gems such as Bronze Goddess Bronzing Pearls, $67, which look great on any complexion. Apply the colour lightly or re-apply for more pigment.

6. Also, check out Tender Lip Balm in Tender Bronze, $34.

7. Elizabeth Arden’s summer look is just out including this Sun Goddess Bronzing Powder in Medium, $58. Quite simply, it’s a pretty shade that will add colour and life to your skin without a faux-tan finish and it comes with a great kabuki-style brush.

8. Revlon’s new Colorstay Mineral Lipglazes, $21.95, are perfect shades to wear with a bronzed complexion. Look for Forever Fig (pictured, top) and Forever Raisin.

9. Yves Saint Laurent did a limited-edition colour story for the European summer based on the colours of Africa. This particular palette, Couleurs D’Afrique, $90, is extremely versatile and because there’s no shimmer, the colours won’t exaggerate fine lines.

10.
Put the whole bronzed look together with nail enamels in rosy plums; perfect for fingers and toes. Try Maybelline New York Salon Expert in Saucy Brown (pictured, top) and Tender Rose, $10.95.

All prices quoted in Australian dollars and correct at time of publication (18/08/08).
